Columbia Pictures has enlisted the executive producers of The Office, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, to pen a third installment in the Ghostbusters franchise. The sequel will feature the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson.
Nice, Hollywood. I doubt kids today even know what Ghostbusters is. Expect a theater full of 30 or 40-somethings mixed in with a bunch of confused kids whispering to each other: Is this some sort of Mythbusters spin off? How can you make that into a movie? What the hell is ectoplasm residue? Why is there a big marshmallow on the screen? Ugh, old people are creepy. Okay, that last one might be me.
