Workaholic designer Marc Jacobs makes some of the best and most-watched collections for his eponymous lines and for Louis Vuitton, that much is for certain.
No proper fashion editor (with clout) at a proper magazine ever misses a Jacobs-helmed presentation.
The well-cut designer was spotted by WWD at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, not only checking out the Marc by Marc Jacobs kiosk, but checking out the Hermes one, too. And no, he wasn’t looking to steal any designs or silhouettes. Instead, he was picking up six Hermes bookmarks decorated with different creatures from the animal kingdom.
“There will be six of us [for the weekend],” Jacobs said to the WWD editor who spotted him. “I figure there’ll be a lot of reading by the pool, so everybody will get one.”
Aw, how sweet.
And by the way, we’re stealing Sofia Coppola’s seat by that pool.
